Tora
Tora Tora - Back by Popular Demand
TORA TORA TORA is a re-creation of the December 7th 1941
attack on Pearl Harbor. It's accomplished through hundreds of
dedicated volunteers most belonging to the Commemorative Air
Force (CAF) working as ground crew, maintenance, pilots and
pyrotechnic experts. The purpose is to create a dynamic history
lesson about the event that propelled the USA into World War II .....and
entertain.
TORA's re-creation is usually the feature performance at organized
air shows. It involves many Japanese fighters and bombers simulating the Pearl Harbor attack. In addition, TORA provides breathtaking smoke, fire
and explosions from the pyrotechnics team. A professional announcer
explains the purpose, history and performance to the crowd.
A-10
West Demonstration Team
The A-10 West Demonstration Team is a select group of
professionals dedicated to showing the extreme capabilities of the A-10
aircraft through exceptional aerial maneuvers. Our mission is to
demonstrate the capabilities of the A-10 Thunderbolt II and the
professional competence of the U.S. Air Force personnel, to positively
affect USAF recruiting and retention efforts, and to promote community
and international relations.

CF-18 Hornet
The combat-proven CF-18 Hornet is a twin-engine, multi-mission,
tactical aircraft. It converts between air-to-air fighter missions and
air-to-ground strike missions while on the same sortie with the flick of
a switch. The CF-18 fulfills the following types of assignment: fighter
escort, suppression of enemy air defenses, reconnaissance, forward air
control, close air support, and day and night strike missions. Adapted
from the F/A-18, the Canadian version of the jet features: a searchlight
beneath the fuselage for nighttime visual identifications survival
equipment adapted to the Canadian environment various cockpit layout
modifications.

VINTAGE WINGS CORSAIR
The Corsair is widely considered the most capable of all
carrier-based fighter aircraft of World War Two. Designed and originally
built by Chance Vought, it was also manufactured under license by
Goodyear at the height of production during the Second World War. Its
distinctive "bent" wings were designed to keep the landing gear short
and robust for carrier landings and give clearance for the enormous 13'
4" diameter propeller required to pull her to over 400 MPH - the first
American fighter to do so. It was considered the performance equal to
many other fighters like the Mustang but its short range kept it either
carrier-based or land-based in the South Pacific war close to the
action. The Corsair continued to be operated by the USN and the Marines
after the war and saw considerable action during the Korean War.
HAWK
ONE
The history of the North
American F-86 Sabre (and its variants like the Canadair Sabre models) is
closely tied to the beginnings of the Cold War and famously with the
Korean War battles with Russian MiGs. The Sabre, a swept wing, single
seat air superiority fighter is long recognized as one of the finest
fighter aircraft of all time and the Sabre 5 and Sabre 6 models built by
Canadair at their Montreal plant are considered the most capable of all
Sabres. Of the more than 9,500 Sabres constructed worldwide, more than
1,800 were built in Canada in six different variants.

and Deadstick routine of Kent Pietsch. Warren Pietsch will also fly his
P-51 Mustang in a aeriel display you won't want to miss.
MANFRED
RADIUS GLIDER
Manfred has
been described as 'Sailplane Superstar' and as 'The King of Sailplane
Aerobatics'. Spectator's comments about his performances include
superlative terms such as: awe-inspiring - fantastic - mesmerizing -
outrageous - heavenly - and 'you made the show'. USAviator wrote in it's
January, 1995 issue: He is absolutely incredible; a truly
phenomenal presence in the airshow biz. Very highly recommended. In
his bestseller The Cannibal Queen, Stephen Coonts writes: ......and we
were treated to the most spectacular flying exhibition I have ever
witnessed......The silent crowd watched, mesmerized...... His mastery of
his craft was total, his exhibition a tour de force.
NORTHERN AEROS
KEVIN HOPKINS & JERZY STRYZXZ
The Sukhoi SU-29 is a two seat Russian built aircraft that when flown
solo, can be best described as "uncompromising performance." Sukhoi
SU-29's regularly fly at the World championships and air shows around
the world. Like its single seat brethren the Sukhoi SU-29 is mostly
built of exotic materials such as titanium, magnesium and Kevlar. It has
a high tensile stainless-steel forward fuselage, with the rear fuselage,
tail and wings of carbon fibre. The result is an aircraft that possesses
extraordinary strength.
